After all this mayhem is over I plan on finishing my book I've been reading, and starting up on a pretty long book 800+ pages in spirit of the long break. So expect more to come, because Christmas is fast approaching and presents will be here :P

Introducing Foday

I thought I would introduce my dog Foday (yes his name is F-oh-day) He is 3 years old pit bull and boston terrier mix. He is my big bundle of joy I absolutely adore him.
I consider him my child, he loves to lay next to me and fart while I'm reading lol.

The Stranger by Albert Camus

This was one of my manditory books I had to read for my Humanities class this semester (In other words not my first choice of reading). So when I purchased this book I was expecting to get something absolutely boring like most of the readings that he imposed on me. When starting this I immediately changed my mind, this book has some depth to it, not just depth but it was actually interesting. So as soon as I started reading I finished it lol no lie it took me maybe 30 minutes to read but I loved the meaning to this book. This book is definitely based on Existentualism, because the protagonist in this story doesn't put meaning into his decisions. I really don't want to give any details to this story, because it is truly bizzare how the story unravals. To keep it short the protagonist mother dies, he is emotionless, this leads to his life being more emotionless and he doesn't care.

The Story of Club Kids

Party Monster
by: James ST. James

This is an up close and personal journey through the life of a famous late 80's through the 90's club kid named James St. James. This is his recollections of his acquaintance with Michael Align, a club kid who murdered a drug dealer. The book will take you through some of the most outrageous fashions and clubs through out New York, and you'll see just what all the "in" people did with their lives: drugs, sex, murder, & more drugs.

The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner by: Stephenie Meyer

I bought this as soon as it was released, but ended up not reading it for months.... and I don't regret it.  It was not the best book compared to the Twilight series, but it did help explain what we already knew. If your interested in learning about a vampire girl who died, then this is your book for sure. Its a really short story so it would almost be cheaper to buy the book online and read it in one setting.

Frederica by: Georgette Heyer
The moral of this story is beauty comes from within, and Frederica Merriville is the perfect example. Frederica is a young adult who runs her family, because she's wiser than her time, but there are some little surprises for this protagonist. There are plenty of twists and turns that make this story worth reading.

Phaedra by: Racine

This is a classic play from the Baroque era, based in ancient greek times but mordernized with the french lifestyle. This play was made for Louis XIV and was played at the castle of Versailles. This is the ultimate drama of love, lust, and incest, every part of the play brings more irony. This was what I had to read for class, so this wouldn't be something I regularly read.

Shopaholic

I've been researching for some new makeup and skincare products. Why? Because I just do lol

So makeup I'm looking for a primer that is oil free, lately I've been noticing I'm breaking out really bad and I have this feeling its my primer.
Now I'm looking into different oil free primers, let me know if you have any ideas :)
Then I need another makeup brush, but that's whatever lol
Oh snap! I just remembered I need to go to target and grab some Soap & Glory's Sexy MotherPuker too.

Now Skincare REPORT...
I need another daytime moisturizer for sure Roc, I believe, has made my face greasier. The daytime moisturizer makes me shiny later in the day, and the night time I'll put it on go to bed wake up and my face looks like I put Vaseline on it (scary trust me).
I'm thinking of splurging and looking into Origins.

It's a stupid idea for me to be buying all this stuff when I don't have a job at the moment, and my funds are running a tad bit low, but it makes me feel confident when my appearance is pleasing lol.
Law of Attraction will bring me an amazing job soon ;)

So I guess I'll just do a review on this book, then try to finish the book I was reading and review that.

Roc Retinol Review

Lets admit it's really hard to find a good skincare regimen.

Well, I think I found a pretty good regimen for me. I am only 20 years old going on 21, but believe it or not I am starting to get wrinkles. I use to go out in the sun with no sunscreen, and my face is paying for it with discoloration and wrinkles under my eyes.

I have always been interested in Roc, and finally decided to fork my money out. I'm not gonna say that it's affordable, because it's average price at Walmart is $20 ea. I purchased the moisturizer, night cream, eye cream, and serum it was around $100. I have read and watched tutorials of people trying this out, and most reviews people only used one part of the product so its kind of hard to say. It has Retinol in it so sensitive skin BEWARE, I had no irritation so I didn't have that problem. It is great for most skin types, I have oily skin and it works pretty good for me.

There is more to this line of AntiWrinkle regimen, but I didn't have the money to purchase the rest.

So these are the rest of the products for this line of Roc products, there are other regimens I advise people to look into if you are interested in these products. Roc Website

The Results:
I actually really like Roc their skincare line is more effective then any other I have ever tried (I have tried pretty much everyone) I do see improvements in my skin with the discoloration and under eye wrinkles. I really think this is one of the best drugstore skincare lines out there, especially for your money (department stores are way more expensive). I will keep using Roc and might buy the rest of the products in the AntiWrinkle line too.

  1. Moisturizer- The lotion is really creamy and you don't need much on your face (a little goes a long way). I use it on my face and neck, because it has SPF 30 which is really great. The smell is fine I prefer no fragrance, but I can deal.
  2. Night Moisturizer- Same creaminess as the day moisturizer, but with no SPF I like to use day and night moisturizers. The night time lotion is a little more greasy but its just the formula and quite tolerable.
  3. Eye Cream- This is a really great eye cream it absorbs into your skin and helps eyes look more awake with less puffiness. I saw a slight change in my dark under eye circles, but not as much as I liked. Wrinkles are definitely reduced it lives up to its name.
  4. Serum- I use this when there is no sun outside, because I won't need the SPF 30. So I apply the serum to my face and neck, and then apply a tinted moisturizer with SPF 15. DO NOT use serum then use moisturizer with retinol in it, it strictly says not to on the box. I can feel the serum tingle and my face looks tighter, I am not kidding when I say this.

*These are my options and it could be different for you, so please do not take my review the wrong way. Also I am not affiliated with Roc, but I would love to be lol that's how much I like the products.

Tanaka Face Massage Part 1 (English)

It's the start of my weekend!!!!!!

So I'm writing a blog on something I've been doing for about a month it's Tanaka's facial massage that is suppose to reduce puffiness and wrinkles. I found it on youtube and thought why not I've read many people say that facial massages benefit your skin and facial structure. epicbeautyguide is the woman that supplied and translated the video instructions of the massage.

The Results are in:
I actually have seen a difference in my skin, surprisingly my face feels tighter and has reduced my puffiness under my eyes. I usually do it once a day either at night or in the morning, if you have more severe wrinkles and sagging I definitely recommend doing it twice a day. I also reccomend buying facial massaging lotion/oil at Sally's Beauty Supply, it helps the massage go smoothly. Always wash face after and put moisturizer on, I am not joking when I say it works massaging your face is helping exercise the muscles in your face to bring back

Today was a Good Day

:) Today I got some packages in the mail that brought me some goodies.

So here is the bundles of joy I received from the postman today:
  • 2 false lashes
  • 1 DUO false lash glue in black
  • 1 Dinair airbrush foundation
  • 4 Kiss Nails everlasting french nails
  • 1 Stay don't Stray eye primer
  • 2 lipsticks (urban decay & e.l.f)
  • 1 free sample mascara
  • 2 powders (too faced & physicians)
  • 1 e.l.f highlighter stick
So here is the low down on the products, because you know I had to try them immediately.
The DUO glue and lashes are really great! I had no worries of the lashes coming off even when it rained.

I love the Dinair foundation it is made for and airbrush, but I used it like a regular foundation I learned this from Kandee Johnson on Youtube (her link is on my blog) this foundation lasts and looks flawless.

Doesn't every girl enjoy having french nails, I know I sure do especially during a big event. Well I'm not able to afford to go to the salon and get my nails done cough, cough recession cough, cough. So, I decided to try false nails I was definitely sceptical of Kiss Nails Everlasting French Nails, but after a lot of research and reviews I bought them. I have them on right now...

BRAVO Kiss Nails they are really great nails, and they really do save money. They are $6.99 and last for 7 days maybe more who knows, but they get my approval and two thumbs up.

Stay Don't Stray I bought this to keep my concealer in tacked, and it does the trick I'm sure it does the same for eyeshadow.

The free sample mascara I'm not going to discuss it was nasty and clumpy lashes.

Lipstick doesn't always have to be bright RED or PINK, I bought Urban Decay lipstick in Midnight Cowboy. I had a free sample of this lipstick and I absolutely adore it, the perfect beige shade for my lips almost like it was made just for me. The e.l.f lipstick is just a nude color that I'm going to use to tone down some dark colors I bought.

The Physicians Formula corrector power is great for evening out skin tone or a good base for mineral makeup. The Too Faced Candlelight powder is a illuminators dream I love love love it, it is just the right amount of gold shimmer to make you look like a goddess.

E.L.F highlighter is a eyeshadow/eyeliner in white that I use to accentuate my eyes. I love going to E.L.F, because it is extremely cheap and some of the products are really good.

OTHER NEWS:
I ordered some books online that should be coming in any day now!!!! YAY book reviews!

Yummy

Tonight for dinner I thought I would make Minestrone with a secret ingredient.... butternut squash. This was absolutely delicious it has no meat so it is great for Vegetarians, but my family are true carnivores. So, I made french bread with ham and cheese in the middle yummy x2. The crock pot is my bff and many of my meals are made around this wonderful invention, so prepare to see many posts based around a crock pot.

Zombies & Fever OH MY

HELLO Zombies how I missed you, I am truly a Jane Austen fan and truly enjoyed reading Pride, Prejudice & Zombies and Sense, Sensibility & Sea Monsters. When Steve Hockensmith wrote this prequel to Pride, Prejudice & Zombies, so I bought it and read it in one day. I have to say it wasn't what I expected.... IT WAS BETTER!!!! If you love Jane Austen chicks kicking zombie remains read this please my boyfriend loves looking at the pictures lol.

Welcome to Philadelphia post- Revolutionary War.
This is a historical fiction based on the yellow fever epidemic, I am a nerd when it comes to diseases and epidemics I researched yellow fever and 1793 epidemic. Some of the occurrence in this book seem unreal and quite graphic, there is a lot of death and a lot of heartache for the protagonist.

NEW BEGINNINGS

I have finally arrived!
lol

I was a devoted blogger on my old site The Book Suggestion on Weebly. I decided to change my direction alittle instead of just reviewing books I'll add makeup, cooking, and random stuff into the mix.

So I will begin with this first blog catching everyone up, I am keeping the blog basic for now and just trying to get some posts up for everyone. Please feel free to check out my old blog linked ~~~> here and up at the top as "the book suggestion." That is where I reviewed quite a few books (ALOT of books actually lol) and will help you to get to know the style of reviewing I do.

I'm sorry this is so long but I want to make sure everyone knows that I plan on blogging about books, makeup, cooking, and random stuff. I will try my best to be consistent with my blogs so that people can get addicted lol jk.
